I love this time of the year when friends and families gather together to wish each other a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Some cynics may say "Be careful what you wish for"
But I am not a cynic and I truly believe there's nothing wrong with wishing. We all have dreams and aspirations....... So go on, throw a coin in my Wishing Well, and make three wishes.... Who knows? ...... they may just come true!
My first most earnest wish is for World Peace.
My second wish is for all those who suffer pain, whether it be mental or physical, that God will grant them relief.
My third wish is for all the displaced people in the World , due to famine, floods or strife. I pray that the people of which ever land they settle in, will warmly welcome them and help them rebuild their broken lives.

What a Wonderful post, Di...your Wishes are so Warm-hearted and I, too, certainly Wish all these things! Of course, I also Wish for a Wonderful Christmas day with my family - the girls, their hubbies, and the grandchildren. AND - a new crossword puzzle dictionary cuz mine is falling apart! Thinking of you Warmly and Wishing that Winter Will Wile away its days Without snow here - or else I can't get out! Also another big Wish I have is to come and visit next summer!

its worry-times for me .... 2 close friends are losing the battle against cancer... soo ofcourse health for them is now on top of my list..
ReplyDeleteMy husband and childeren and our animals are okay, i hope that stays this way. For their future, ofcourse i wish them well and never a tear nor sorry but we all know that that is not realistic.
How ill my own healt may be, for many years now, i never give up hope and i find joy in the littlest of things, thats were i'm gratefull for.
A bevy of wonderful wishes. I miss the White Christmases of my childhood, - blue prairie skies and sparkling snow!
